Founded in 2007 by Tony Kypreos, Synesi is powered by a global network of trusted Associates, each selected for their ability to drive Science | Ethics | Impact | Viability.
Tony brings over 30 years of hands-on leadership across science, innovation and entrepreneurship. He’s worked in boardrooms, labs, lecture halls and venture rooms. This blend of experience allows us to design and run venture builder programmes that don't just launch ideas—they help them land.
Academic
Tony has taught and mentored PhDs and postdocs at Cambridge, King’s College London, and beyond. He understands research from the inside—its rigour, its potential, and its limits. More importantly, he knows how to help scientists turn ideas into action.
Corporate Innovation
Startups and corporates speak different languages. Tony’s been fluent in both. From senior leadership at T-Mobile International and Bauer Media to Nestlé and Diageo, he understands how to align startups with the scale and structure of big business—without compromising their edge.

Venture capital is a game of conviction, timing and clarity. As a venture partner and angel investor with multiple exits, Tony helps founders show up ready—with a story that resonates, a valuation that holds, and terms that set the venture up to grow, not stumble.
Entrepreneur
Tony has co-founded ventures that exited to Techstars, Nasdaq and Optima Health. He’s also built ventures that failed. He knows what it’s like to hire the first team, hit the first wall, and build again. His advice is practical, strategic, and always grounded in the reality of the founder journey.
